Gifts of Art
Thank you for considering a gift of art to the Smart Museum of Art.
The Smart welcomes proposed gifts of art. All proposed gifts are reviewed by the Smart’s curatorial team to determine a work's alignment with the Smart’s collection plan and our ability to care for and conserve each piece in posterity.
The Development team can assist you with your proposed gift, including information regarding bequests and planned giving. For all inquiries, please contact spellegrino@uchicago.edu with the following information:
- The artist(s) name
- Title of the work, if known
- The work’s creation date
- Artwork medium
- Artwork dimensions
- The work’s current location and condition
