Choreographing the Smart: Calling on the Present

Nine students pose in a half-crouch in front of a sculpture made of venetian blinds

Join us for Calling on the Present, the public culmination of the UChicago course “Site-Based Practice: Choreographing the Smart Museum,” led by Julia Rhoads, Director of the Dance Program in Theater and Performance Studies

Through the course, students created a collaborative work using embodied research methods that interact with the Smart Museum through moving, sensing, and listening, while also responding to the current exhibitions Calling on the Past, not all realisms, The Metropol Drama, and Haegue Yang’s Quasi-Legit.
