Homer to Vonnegut: A Print Odyssey (Part II)

Kurt Vonnegut, Self Portrait

This two-part program explores the space between literature and art, war and peace, and land and sea.

Delving into representations of Homer’s Odyssey in the Smart Museum's special exhibition Classicisms (April 20) and in the National Veterans Art Museum’s Vonnegut's Odyssey (April 25), we will discuss how a person’s return home from war crosses through the ages, and attempt to reveal the journey from soldier to civilian through a hands-on printmaking workshop.

Both sessions will include a tour, brief discussion, and art-making component.

FREE, but space is limited. Please register in advance.

Presented in collaboration with the National Veterans Art Museum.
