Take Care with Art After Dark: Black Arts Birthday Party

Celebrate the birthdays of two icons: Malcolm X and Lorraine Hansberry on an imagined museum visit to the Smart on their shared birthdays!

Facilitated by Lead Museum Educator and Teaching Artist Nicole Bond, we will celebrate the birthdays of two icons: Malcolm X and Lorraine Hansberry. Join us for a virtual gallery tour of artworks Nicole imagines the two would stop to ponder if spending what would be their ninety-sixth and ninety-first birthday perusing the Smart Museum's collection and previously exhibited works.

Bring a cupcake and a birthday candle to make a wish.
