Teaching with Objects

How can your university art museum be a resource in your teaching, and what is the pedagogical value of object-centered learning?

Hosted by the Smart Museum’s Feitler Center for Academic Inquiry, this workshop will outline specific approaches for productively integrating artwork in the classroom and provide information on how the Feitler Center can support this practice.

  • Christopher Allison, Collegiate Assistant Professor
  • Issa Lampe, Deputy Director for Academic and Curatorial Affairs, Director of the Feitler Center, Smart Museum of Art
  • Berit Ness, Assistant Curator for Academic Initiatives, Smart Museum of Art

This workshop is open to all UChicago faculty and instructors across disciplines. Light refreshments will be provided. Please register in advance.

Presented in collaboration with the University of Chicago Faculty Development Program.
