Diasporal Rhythms welcomes Najee Dorsey—artist, collector, and founder of Black Art in America—for an Art Smart conversation on Black art in America in the age of social media.
Dorsey will offer his unique perspective on the art market and its various art worlds. Black Art in America (BAIA) is a leading online portal and social network focused on African-American Art. BAIA amplifies thought-provoking commentary on today's visual art news from a variety of perspectives.
Presented by Diasporal Rhythms and hosted by the Smart Museum of Art in anticipation of our fall 2018 exhibition The Time is Now! Art Worlds of Chicago's South Side, 1960–1980.
