Celebrate the Godfather of House music, Frankie Knuckles, at Rebuild's annual House music festival. This celebration activates the spirit of the Frankie Knuckles Collection, stewarded and fully digitized by Rebuild. This year's Frankie Knuckles Festival is co-presented by the Smart Museum of Art.
In partnership with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, Choose Chicago, The Smart Museum of Art, and Goodman Theatre, Rebuild is proud to present our Fourth Annual Frankie Knuckles Festival and Fundraiser, this year hosted at The Land School, our newest spatial concept, pedagogical platform, and experimental land art project in Grand Crossing.
Join us for a daylong celebration of the Godfather of House Music as we activate the Frankie Knuckles Collection and revel in the liberatory power of House. As a continuation of our ongoing house programs, this year’s festival will move us rhythmically through joy, fellowship, and collective remembrance as we engage and embody Knuckles's material legacy as a living archive.
