In this Amplify professional learning community program, participants can develop lessons and artistic projects that connect learning with critical issues in our communities.
Emmanuel Pratt’s interdisciplinary approach to regenerative placemaking on the South Side of Chicago mixes art, architecture, and community and economic development. Pratt, whose work Radical [Re]Constructions is currently on view at the Smart, will share ways to disrupt unhealthy urban systems through creative intervention and experiential learning.

Amplify at the University of Chicago is developing a model of collaboration that leads to a systemically, and sustainably networked education community. One that supports rich and dynamic arts learning experience across the breadth of our distinctive arts organizations. Amplify is a partnership of arts and cultural organizations that offer K–12 arts learning programs, including the Arts + Public Life, Court Theatre, Logan Center for the Arts, Oriental Institute, and the Smart Museum of Art. Each Amplify partner offers a range of programs and resources including live theatrical and musical performances, museum field trips, out-of-school time programs, and more.
