Celebrate as our cafe is rededicated Miriam’s Café at the Smart in honor of Miriam Graham, a longtime benefactor of the Smart Museum of Art.
The afternoon includes a concert of coffee- and tea-related jazz and Baroque music—including a selection from Bach’s Coffee Cantata—featuring performers from the University of Chicago community. Plus, free premium coffee, hand-bagged tea, baked goods, and a latte art competition that showcases the creativity of our baristas.

Miriam’s Café will be dedicated in honor of Miriam W. Graham (1919–2013), a longtime supporter and art donor to the Museum. Her bequest to the Smart Museum helps us create a vibrant cultural destination for students and neighbors, families and scholars—a spot that brings art and museums into everyday life and routines.
