Abstract Expressionism: A Tribute to Harold Rosenberg

Paintings and Drawings from Chicago Collections

Harold Rosenberg, art critic, author, and philosopher, published in many magazines, most notably the New Yorker during his long career. He also served as a University of Chicago professor in the Department of Art and on the Committee on Social Thought.

This catalogue details the exhibition of thirty Abstract Expressionist paintings and drawings, and each work is accompanied by a quotation from Rosenberg, who devoted most of his career to the appreciation and criticism of that movement.
