Gallery Talk: Thompson and His Contemporaries

An abstracted painting surrounded by a blue field with text that reads Bob Thompson This House Is Mine.

Join us for a guided walkthrough of Bob Thompson: This House Is Mine.

During this informal in-gallery discussion, curator Orianna Cacchione (Smart Museum of Art) and gallerists John Corbett and Jim Dempsey (Corbett vs. Dempsey) offer insights into Bob Thompson and his contemporaries, from friend and artist Emilio Cruz to jazz greats like Ornette Coleman and Nina Simone.

FREE, but space is limited. Please register in advance.

Join us at Corbett vs. Dempsey on Saturday, March 12 at 2 pm for a complementary closing-day discussion and tour of Emilio Cruz Inter-Planetary Slavery • Paintings and Fiberglass Sculpture, 1970-1979.
