Amplify Workshop: Fostering Inquiry-based Learning Through a Cultural Lens

Amplify object-based inquiry workshop

Learn how primary sources can be used to support inquiry-based learning in your classroom or program.

Examining art and artifacts, both historical and contemporary, can build critical inquiry skills and foster greater understanding of the values, conditions, and aesthetics of the people who made and lived with those objects. It encourages empathy and a deeper engagement with the world around us.

During this workshop you can participate in object-driven art and archeological interactive experiences. Find inspiration from the Oriental Institute Museum collections to guide students in asking questions. Discover ways to teach various skills and subjects through ancient civilizations with a special gallery tour.

FREE, but space is limited. Please register in advance.

Participants will receive 3 CPDUs. Food and refreshments will be served.
