For Freedoms Town Hall

For Freedoms—a platform for civic engagement, discourse, and direct action for artists—in collaboration with the Smart Museum of Art, Sankofa, Sweet Water Foundation, and EXPO CHICAGO, presents a town hall that aims to model how art and discourse can engage communities.

This Town Hall features a series of discussions between artists and practitioners across disciplines and generations addressing strategies for reclaiming and operating within public space. The first panel features young leaders and mentors from Sweet Water Foundation in conversation with organizers of the March For Our Lives. The second panel features artists and founding members of AfriCOBRA Jae JarrellWadsworth Jarrell, and Gerald Williams in conversation with artist, publisher, and educator Aay Preston-Myint

FREE, but space is limited for the Town Hall. Please register in advance.
