Join the Smart Museum of Art, the Overture Council at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and EXPO CHICAGO for an evening of experimental performances and conversation in conjunction with the opening week of Samson Young: Silver Moon or Golden Star, Which Will You Buy of Me?

The evening features a conversation between multi-disciplinary artist Samson Young, Smart Museum curator Orianna Cacchione, and music scholar Sam Pluta, on the music of the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair and its utopian vision for the future, punctuated by live performances of music composed for the Fair and a few other surprises related to the broad questions of idealism and change addressed through new works included Young’s first US solo museum exhibition on view at the Smart Museum.

FREE, tickets required.
