Family Day: Walking and Leaving Trails

Families making art together at the Smart Museum

With guest artist Alberto Aguilar

Family Days at the Smart Museum are designed to celebrate the creative potential in all of us. With new projects every month, Family Days offer opportunities for kids and their caregivers to create together and connect with one another. Each program is unique, fun, and free, emphasizing invention, improvisation, and hands-on creativity.

This Saturday, join artist Alberto Aguilar on an adventurous walk where we create line drawings with surprising materials to mark our path! After the walk, enjoy a picnic party to share photos and make posters. Plus, be sure to check out the silkscreen station and take home your own Alberto Aguilar limited edition Smart Summer tote!

The activities are inspired by the artist’s work featured in Cross Currents / Intercambio Cultural

FREE, open to all.

Art-making supplies and other materials are provided. Family programs are best for kids 4–12, but all ages are welcomed! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
