A tour and discussion of Thi Bui’s The Best We Could Do presented in collaboration with the UChicago Common Book Initiative. 

Join exhibition curator Issa Lampe for a tour of Smart to the Core: Embodying the Self, which brings together modern and contemporary artists who explore the visual construction of selfhood across a range of gender, sexual, racial, ethnic, and intersectional identities. 

The tour will highlight ideas that resonate with Thi Bui’s The Best We Could Do. Following the tour, explore these themes further during a facilitated Common Book discussion over lunch.
