Drawings by Henry Moore from the Joel Starrels, Jr. Memorial Collection

21 January–15 March 1976

These drawings by Henry Moore range from the 1920s to the 1950s and represent important typological shifts in the artist’s work. This exhibition includes figure and sculpture studies in addition to several stand-alone works that are both technically complex and highly finished. The collection of drawings was a gift to the Smart Museum upon the occasion of its opening in 1974 as part of the Joel Starrels, Jr. Memorial Collection.
