Humanities Day

Humanities Day, an annual tradition at the University of Chicago since 1980, celebrates the humanities with free discussions, tours, performances, and lectures featuring the latest research of the award-winning faculty in the Division of the Humanities.

Afternoon sessions include a curator tour of the Smart Museum's special exhibition There was a whole collection made led by DoVA Professor Laura Letinsky (noon) and a talk by Art History Professor Christine Mehring about conserving Wolf Vostell's Concrete Traffic sculpture (3:30 pm).
